Alastair Fothergill’s nature documentary Deep Blue consists of 90 minutes of footage of undersea creatures — living, surviving, fighting, and dying. Similar to like-minded documentaries such as Winged Migration and MicroCosmos, Deep Blue features footage from locations throughout the world. The great British actor Michael Gambon provides the narration, which favors involving the viewer emotionally over providing enlightening factual information on the creatures. The 22 segments of the film conclude with footage of how man has affected life under the sea. This film was originally produced for the British television series The Blue Planet. According to the filmmakers, some of the creatures seen here have never been previously recorded on film.

An evil Duke attempts to kill and collect the blood of a royal family of European vampires in order to become all powerful. The only surviving member of the family travels to Hong Kong, only to complicate his struggle by falling in love with a mortal girl who just happens to have a vampire hunter for a brother.

Upon arriving in Austria, Caroline meets her father and his crew, which include the ubiquitous director’s assistant Marcus, the irascible sound manager Steven, and the aged, gentle special effects manager Otto. These, among others, have come to Austria to make the film against the backdrop of a long-historied castle. While exploring this castle, Caroline meets and befriends a boy called Lakob and his dog Hannibal; who in turn introduce her to the castle’s community of ghosts. These ghosts are variously the animated memories of the castle’s deceased inhabitants or spirits of the nearby forest.

Following the arrest of her husband, Amina and her seven-year-old son, Mehdi, go to stay with her father-in-law in a small village. Mehdi thinks his father has gone to work in France. His mother and grandfather keep up the pretence to prtyoect him from the truth, that his father in fact is being held in prison.

This film, adapted from a work of fiction by author Tracy Chevalier, tells a story about the events surrounding the creation of the painting “Girl With A Pearl Earring” by 17th century Dutch master Johannes Vermeer. Little is known about the girl in the painting, it is speculated that she was a maid who lived in the house of the painter along with his family and other servants, though there is no historical evidence . This masterful film attempts to recreate the mysterious girl’s life. Griet, played by Scarlett Johansson, is a maid in the house of painter Johannes Vermeer, played by British actor Colin Firth. Vermeer’s wealthy patron and sole means of support, Van Ruijven, commissions him to paint Griet with the intent that he will have her for himself before it is finished. She must somehow secretly pose for the crucial painting without the knowledge of Vermeer’s wife, avoid Van Ruijven’s grasp, and protect herself from the cruel gossip of the world of a 17th century servant.

After three of its employees have been reported missing in the Southern African Namib desert, the Eland Mining exploration company mounts a search and rescue expedition, comprising more employees which team up with Dr. Zach Straker, who researches extreme survival systems. Amidst the moving sand dunes they find human bones with just some blood on it, and identify them to belong to two of the missing men; then these disappear again, and they observe a strange monster, which according to a native former herdsman is known by the local people as Esikhulu. It’s able to (dis)appear, survive shotgun hits, fatally ‘incorporate’ human bodies -picking them off one by one- and make water turn acid…

All of his sheer power, though, can’t give Mark the strenght to face his lovely girlfriend Giulia, 18. Giulia’s pregnant and resolute to keep the baby, a prospect that makes Mark to freak out. After the umpteenth furious fight with Giulia, Mark is seduced by a new schoolmate: the malicious blondie Serena Cursi. Serena is morbidly fascinating in her natural coldness. Mark and Serena have wild sex, but Serena soon vanishes. Sometime later, Mark meets Uncle J., former best friend of the Dravenis, just released out of prison. He desperately warns Mark against Serena and her unbreakable curse. It’s an eerie circle of blood which dates back to the 80’s, he says. The symbol of this curse is a black stigmata on the right hand of whomever becomes Serena’s lover. Urban legend stuff? Maybe… and maybe not! As Uncle J. horribly dies and Serena begins stalking Giulia, Mark finds help from a shady reported, Enrico Artale, who’s somehow connected to Serena…
